It's funny how God works. I often pray "Lord teach me how to love". I guess...I don't really understand what that all entails. Last Sunday I was presented with an opportunity to demonstrate that love. As you seen and heard I've been helping out with the "Feed the Children Program". The kids that come to this program come in off the streets dirty and sick.
Well the Sunday of the fundraiser they sat in front of me. My friend Sarah started taking pictures of them, after a few they wanted to take pictures with us. That was all good until they got super close and my head touched theirs. Immediately I thought I hope these kids don't have lice. Eek! It hit me...these kids are starving for love. What does it matter if I sacrifice getting dirty....lice...etc for the sake of loving the unloved.
What a lesson! So for the rest of the service I held two of the girls close.
uhhh!!! Lord teach me how to love!
