Feed the Children Program

Today Todd and Carrie picked me up at 8:30am to go to the church for the Feed the Children Program. Two members from the church, Leno and his wife cook food for the children in the neighborhood. They've had up to 60 children at one time. Today was cold and rainy so not too many kids showed up. I believe we had around 15 kids.

We read bible stories and played games with them.Todd who they call Santiago and Carrie who they named Angelica bought them hats and gloves. Two of the kids got jackets as well.

The children had to bring their own cups and plates. It was sad because some of the plates and cups they brought were dirty.

I'm not sure what the situation is like at home for these children but I know when I was helping 2 of the boys put on their gloves I literally thought their hands were burned. I asked Chase about it and he told me that that was dirt. DIRT? Seriously it must have been LAYERS of dirt : (
